Rates

Currently, Erie Lawn Barber offers basic lawn care services (mowing, edging and line trimming) for the entire growth season (approximately April thru November depending on the winter weather), and aeration and fertilization in the spring, summer and fall. I strive to provide professional services with a personal touch, so that your lawn can look its best. Aeration and fertilization rates are fixed, one time charges. Basic lawn care (mowing, trimming and edging) rates are based on an hourly calculation for a one man, two man or three man crew and are billed monthly. Lawn mowing is offered on a full time, part time and one time basis.
Those rate are:

Aeration
Front and Back - $30
Back Only - $25
Front Only - $20
Lawns Over 10,000 sq. ft. - $40 Front and Back (Please indicate size in message area when booking online)

A "Good Neighbor Discount" is offered to people who book their appointment with one or more of their immediate neighbors on the same day. It is $5.00 off each yard. Please remember that a yard must be well watered before aeration to get maximum penetration, and bookings with neighbors should be coordinated with watering schedules.

Fertilization
$5.00 per 10 pounds of fertilizer

The average lawn (5000 - 6000 square feet) takes about 40 lbs of fertilizer. Your lawn should be watered well after receiving fertilizer to activate, after that your regular schedule will be sufficient.

Basic Lawn Care
One Man Crew - $20/first half hour and $5 every 15 minutes thereafter.
Two Man Crew - $20 for the first 15 minutes and $10 every 15 minutes thereafter.
Three Man Crew - $20 for the first ten minutes, $1 for every minute thereafter.

The average suburban lawn costs between $25 and $35. Please feel free to contact me by email or phone and I will come to your house for an estimate. I have divided the rates into separate crews so that customers can get an idea of how I calculate the charges, but they all workout to the same result. For instance; the same lawn takes one man an hour to cut and costs $30, two men can do it in half an hour and charge $30, for three men it takes twenty minutes and they charge $30. On occasion your rate will be reduced from my original estimate, as the crews become more familiar with your yard and are able to complete the job in a more timely fashion. Otherwise your rate is set for the year, unless changes are made to your lawn care needs, i.e. landscape additions, weed pulling, open space cuttings, etc.

Every customer will be placed on a regular schedule, so that you can know when your lawn care day is. However, I try to keep scheduling flexible, so that we take care of your lawns needs, rather than my weekly schedule. We can mow weekly, every ten days, every two weeks, once a month or just whenever you call us to come do it. In this way we can provide services for the vacationer, or the individual who's lawn mower is in the shop, or even the customer who is putting their house on the market and needs it cared for just until it sells. Whatever your need, we are willing to work with you, so that we can work for you.
